Who contacted you
The person whose name and phone number are on the letter, note or page you received is an independent local home buyer. They are not your lender, loan servicer, the trustee, a court, a county, or any government agency.
KnockPlan (knockplan.com) is software made by Darkhorse Traders LLC. The buyer uses it to prepare their letters and to host your private options page. Darkhorse Traders LLC does not buy homes and did not decide to contact you.
Where your information came from
Foreclosure sale notices are public records. The buyer obtained your information from public notices or from a data provider they chose, and entered it into their account.
Your private options page
Your page is locked with a code only you and the buyer received. We do not store that code. We count when the page is opened with its code, so the buyer knows you saw it; we do not track you across other websites or use advertising cookies.
The page shows every option you have, including catching up the loan, working out a plan with your lender, listing with an agent, and selling directly. You are never required to sell to anyone. Consider talking to a HUD-approved housing counselor or an attorney; HUD's counselor directory is free.
Stop contact or delete your information
Text or tell the buyer "STOP" or "no thanks", or reply to their email. They must stop.
You can also email cody@darkhorsetraders.com with the property address. We will tell the buyer, help them delete your information from their account, and turn off your options page.
